Cat Boarding Information
We accept only cats that are current on their veterinary administered vaccinations. All cats 6 months of age or older must be neutered or spayed.

Room Availability
We reserve our rooms on a first come first serve basis for room availability. Summer months, Thanksgiving and Christmas are our busiest times of year, and we recommend you make your reservation a month or so in advance of your vacation. That being said, it is always impossible for us to predict how busy any certain time will be. We will usually have a room available, if you decide to do some last minute traveling or have an emergency. Always feel free to give us a call to see if we can help with your reservation needs.

Payment:
We charge by the night, whether your cat arrives in the morning or afternoon.

Check out by 10:00 a.m. and you will not be charged for that night.

We accept Cash or Check. We do not take credit cards.

Vaccinations:
Every cat must have current Rabies, Distemper combo, Feline Leukemia Vaccine (for cats that are outside, or a Negative Feline Leukemia test within the last 30 days) prior to boarding.

We require all of our clients to bring a record of veterinary administered vaccinations for their cat which is current within the past twelve months. Please bring your veterinarians phone number with you for our files.

Generally, we will follow the wishes of your veterinarian concerning the shots your cat needs.

Medication:
Please advise us of any medication your cat is on before you board with us, so we can discuss their needs with you.

Veterinary Services:
We have the services of a highly qualified veterinary office, which is only 15 minutes away. In the unlikely event that your cat needs veterinary services, we will do whatever is necessary to ensure your cat is properly looked after. Veterinary services will be added to your boarding invoice exactly as they are invoiced to us. Our only charge is a nominal fee of $20.00 to transport your cat to the veterinary clinic. If your veterinarian is close by, we will take your cat there. Please bring the name and phone number of your veterinarian for our records file.

Food:
Because many cats don't adapt well to an abrupt change in food, we recommend that you bring your cats own brand of food.

We serve a selection of dry premium foods (Nutro, Iams, Science Diet, plus other brands) here at the Inn.

We gladly cater to special diets and health concerns. Please let us know what your needs are prior to boarding.

Fleas:
We take care to ensure that our facility remains free of fleas and they are not welcome at the Inn! Please check your cat for signs of fleas to ensure they do not accompany your cat on their vacation to the Inn.
Upon arrival we check cats for evidence of fleas and/or flea dirt. If during our check-in examination or at a later time we observe evidence of fleas on your cat they will be immediately treated with Advantage or Frontline (topical) and/or Capstar (oral medication). If fleas are found there is substantial cost to the owner—$50.00 or more—and the possibility you could be denied boarding your cat with us that day or in the future.

It is the responsibility of the cats owner to make sure your cat is protected against fleas. We recommend that all cats (indoor only cats too) be treated with a quality flea preventative (Advantage, Frontline, Revolution) at least 48 hours prior to boarding with us. Just as you protect your cat with vaccinations for Rabies and Distemper, protect your cat against fleas.

HINT: Several flea treatments found in pet stores may be toxic to your cat and have limited efficacy. Flea collars/ powders do not work well. Purchase an application of Advantage, Frontline or Revolution from your veterinarian for the best flea prevention. If your cat would not be cooperative to anyone other than yourself giving them a topical and/or oral flea preventative, they MUST be treated prior to boarding with us. It is highly recommended that all outdoor cats or cats that are exposed to other outdoor animals be treated before entering the facility. Even indoor only cats (or cats that "just go outside for a couple of minutes" are a possible target for flea infestations.
We do not allow any bedding or plush toys from home. We provide plenty of clean bedding to all of our guests for their stay to ensure their comfort and that our facility remains flea free.

Litter:
Litter boxes are cleaned at least once a day, or more often as needed. We use clay litter, or clumping if kitty is a long-term boarder. If you have special litter needs for your cat, please let us know prior to boarding.

Cat Facts:
All cats over six months of age must be neutered or spayed.

We gladly accept cats three months of age and older.

Guests recently adopted from a cattery or shelter are welcome fourteen days after finding their new home, and have current veterinary approval.

Deposits:
We require a deposit during the busiest times of year:
  • Memorial Day Weekend thru Labor Day weekend,
  • Thanksgiving week,
  • Christmas/New Year's week.

We require a $50.00 deposit at these times.

Cancellation Policy:
If you give us 30 days (or more) notice of your cancellation, we will return your deposit. If cancellation is 14-29 days before boarding we will put a credit in your file for the entire amount of deposit, which will be good for your next boarding visit. If your cancellation is 13 days or less, you forfeit your deposit.

Cleanliness:
We work very hard to have an immaculately clean facility. We thoroughly clean and disinfect all litter pans, litter scoops, food & water bowls and any bedding. We thoroughly clean and disinfect each room between guests. While your cat is with us, we do light cleaning each day (or more if needed). If your cat is with us for more than a week, then their room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected each week.

Air Quality:
Our air exchange and ventilation system changes the air at the Inn and in all individual cat rooms frequently throughout the day, introducing fresh air from outdoors.

The Inn offers climate controlled comfort: radiant floor heat in the cold months, and air-conditioning in the summer months.

Safety:
We have a double entry door system, so that our feline guests are
always safely enclosed in the boarding area.

Arrival and Departure Safety:
Please arrive and depart with your cat in a carrier or on a leash. Clients are responsible for getting their cats to and from our building.

24-Hour Care:
We live right on the premises, offering round the clock care.

Gift Certificates:
We have gift certificates available. These make great gifts for your cat lover friends and family.
